36th International Forum on Traffic Records & Highway Information Systems

The Hilton Riverside Hotel, New Orleans, Louisiana
July 25 - 28, 2010
“Leaving the Silos Behind”

On behalf of ATSIP I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that participated in this year’s Forum in New Orleans. Our attendance far exceeded what we expected, especially being the first year as an independent organization. Our attendance was right at 400. Many individuals, organizations, and companies need to be thanked for their support. I would like to express my personal thanks to the Louisiana Department of Transportation & Development for volunteering to host and manage this year’s Forum. Without their assistance there may not have been a Forum. Next are all the vendors that gave their time and contributions to the event. Lastly are the presenters and moderators who were able to come and provide new ideas and technology to the participants. Hopefully each of them was able to return home with new found knowledge. I trust everyone enjoyed a great forum and returned home safely.

It is not that far off to begin planning for the 2011 Traffic Records Forums. A committee has been put in place and they have begun their work to have another memorable Forum. The dates are July 31 through August 3, at the Charlotte Westin in North Carolina. Please mark your calendars.

Again, my thanks to all who made 2010 a success and I look forward to seeing you in Charlotte.

Bob Rasmussen
